Carbon County Commissioners

The Carbon County Commissioners approved or discussed the following items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.

• Announced that there are still four positions available on the summer bridge crew. Those who just graduated high school and are going into college or are already in college are eligible to apply. Contact the human resources department to apply or visit www.carboncounty.com.

• Approved Area Agency on Aging being the fiscal manager for the LINK program through June 30, 2020.

• Approved a renewal with Julie Rovinski-Mann of Jim Thorpe to continue in the position of LINK coordinator through June 30, 2020.

• Approved a quote from Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. to purchase software to upgrade the current ESRI software on the 911 GIS server and county GIS server. The estimated cost is $14,500.

• Resignation: Kristy L. Hahn of Lehighton, county caseworker II, children and youth, effective July 5.

• Hires: Linda S. Bechtel of Jim Thorpe, part-time cleaning person, effective July 17; Jami Rolon of Jim Thorpe, secretary III, children and youth; Adam E. Gilbert of Lansford, Keith R. McCall Jr. of Summit Hill and Jacob T. McLaughlin of Nesquehoning, summer laborers, Liquid Fuels Summer program; and Vincent J. Antignani of Jim Thorpe, part-time seasonal park maintenance, all effective June 17.

• Court appointments: Carla J. Bartelt of Nesquehoning, district justice secretary I, effective June 17; and Kelly Sheridan of Summit Hill, district justice secretary I, effective June 27.

• Changes of status: Michael D. Cutler of Summit Hill, from limited term aging case aide II to aging case aide II, Area Agency on Aging; and Scott R. Reynolds of Nesquehoning, from part-time dispatcher trainee to part-time dispatcher, Communications Center, both effective June 17; and Mariah M. May of Lehighton, from administrative secretary, tax claim, to clerk, tax assessment, effective July 1.
