Carbon County Commissioners

Carbon County Commissioners approved the following items on Thursday:

• The 2018-19 grant-in-aid application/agreement with the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for the improvement of adult probation services through the reimbursement of eligible salaries of professional staff. The estimated revenue is $65,000.

• The retirement of Shirley M. Kirchdoerfer of Summit Hill, corrections officer, effective Aug. 2.

• The resignations of Dylan J. Flexer of Lehighton, part-time corrections officer, effective June 25; Jason K. Pfleiderer of Lansford, corrections officer, effective Aug. 7; and Christopher R. Uhlman of Lansford, corrections officer, effective July 11.

• The hiring of Stephen M. Krynock of Summit Hill, seasonal park ranger II, effective July 20; and Gunnar T. Lienhard of Jim Thorpe, lifeguard, effective July 21.

• Court appointment of David A. Slinger of Lehighton, domestic relations officer I, effective July 30.

• Changes of status for Michaelyn Ruggiero of Coaldale and Beverly Schiano of Nesquehoning, from part-time corrections officers to part-time corrections officers/Teamsters, effective July 30.
