Carbon County Commissioners
The Carbon County Commissioners on Thursday acted on the following items:
• Approved the 2018 Emergency Management Performance Grant agreement in the amount of $62,395 for the performance period between Oct. 1, 2017, and Sept. 30, 2018. The grant help cover salaries and benefits of the emergency management coordinator and the administrative assistant.
• Approved the appointment of Christopher Seyfried of St. Luke’s Miners Campus to the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Seyfried replaces Joe Guardiani.
• Approved the addendum with Form Space Design of Bethlehem for services related to the Susquehanna Street building project. The addendum increases the contract by $46,850 to make the new total $486,850. The addendum includes additional services relative to the Highway Occupancy Permit process.
• Canceled the Oct. 25 commissioners meeting due to another commitment.
• Announced that the animal shelter is still looking for a new part-time employee.
• Approved the employment separation of Sheila M. Finney-Rehrig of Nesquehoning, legal secretary III in the public defender’s office, effective Oct. 10.
