Carbon County court – ARD
Three first-time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Friday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.
If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record his wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.
Placed were:
Dimitry Davon Hayes, 18, of Bronx, New York, was placed for 18 months on a felony 3 charge of access device fraud. He was arrested on May 4 along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. He was found with fraudulent credit cards.
He was assessed $450 for the cost of the program and ordered to render 75 hours of community service.
Kateara Dyshe Fussell, 28, of Williamsport, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was arrested on Aug. 17, 2018, by state police at Fern Ridge along I-80 in East Side Borough.
She was assessed $650 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.
Stephano Saldutti, 24, of Philadelphia, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on March 9 by state police at Fern Ridge along Lake Harmony and Short roads in Kidder Township.
He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.
Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
