Carbon County court – DUI

Two defendants pleaded to driving under the influence on Monday in Carbon County court before Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Stephen T. Delman Jr., 67, of Weatherly, was arrested on Oct. 28, 2017, along West Main Street by Weatherly police. A test revealed a 0.22 BAC.

A first offense for sentencing purposes, he was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300, render 25 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation and follow any recommendation of his drug and alcohol evaluation.

Michael G. Fischetti, 29, of Lewisburg, Union County, was arrested on April 17, 2017, along Route 940 by Kidder Township police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

Sentencing was deferred so Fischetti can apply for placement in the county’s Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.
