Carbon County court – Parole/probation revocation hearings
Carbon County judges conducted parole/probation revocation hearings on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who violated the conditions of their release. The following had their probation revoked.
Jacob Bloss, 23, of Weatherly, on a charge of simple assault. Petition filed by probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions, being arrested by Weatherly police on new charges.
Judge Joseph Matika resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in prison with the effective date of March 23.
Jeremy Tobin, 40, of Lansford, on a charge possession of a controlled substance on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by Lansford police on new criminal charges.
Matika resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in prison with the effective date of Dec. 1, 2018.
Max Gasker, 41, of Nesquehoning, on charges of endangering the welfare of children and false alarms. Matika resentenced him to serve 62 days to 12 months in prison with credit for 62 days already served.
Philip Mumie II, 30, of Weatherly, on a charge of simple assault. Petition of Bettine for violating conditions, being arrested by Hazleton police on new criminal counts.
Matika resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in prison effective Jan. 21.
Stephen Soldridge, 50, of Slatington, on a charge of driving under the influence on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment and failing to complete 150 hours of community service.
Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced him to serve three months back time in prison effective Sept. 1 at 9 a.m. If he completes the 150 hours of community service and the drug and alcohol treatment by that date, the order will be vacated.
Francisco Aponte, 29, of Reading, had his parole revoked on a charge of criminal use of a communication facility on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, residing in a residence not approved and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.
Serfass resentenced him to serve 48 days street time in prison with the effective date of Feb. 23. However, he will not be paroled until April 11, when he will then be transported to the Salvation Army facility in Wilkes-Barre, where he must successfully complete the inpatient program. If he does not complete the program he must return to the county prison immediately.
ARD revoked
Kyle Tetreault, 22, of Nesquehoning, had his placement in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program revoked on charges of theft and receiving stolen property on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs and fines, failing to make restitution ordered and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.
The revocation will be effective Dec. 1. If he pays $1,200 on his court costs and completes the community service by that date the order will be vacated.
Yvonne Zukosky, 53, of Weatherly, was revoked on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by Tamaqua police on new criminal charges.
President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II ordered her case placed on the next available pretrial list.
