Carbon County court — ARD

Seven individuals were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Thursday on driving under the influence and related charges by Judge Steven R. Serfass.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete the program, or are revoked from it, they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year.

Amelia A. Bosques, 20, of Easton, was arrested on Feb. 24 by Palmerton police in to 500 block of Mauch Chunk Road. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 for the cost of the program and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 90 days.

Paige Nicole Costenbader, 28, of Kunkletown, was arrested on July 27 along Route 534 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.10 BAC.

She was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 30 days.

David R. Evans, 36, of Lehighton, was arrested on Aug. 9 along Route 443 by Lehighton police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Joanne Marie Guedes, 51, of Palmerton, was arrested on Aug. 4 by state police at Lehighton along Spruce Road in Towamensing Township. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Tara L. Kralik, 33, of Palmerton, was arrested on May 15 along Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. A test revealed a 0.23 BAC.

She was assessed $550 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Dylan M. Mahmod, 24, of Lansford, was arrested on July 19 along Route 443 by Lehighton police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

Mahmod was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Chad Malaska, 42, of Nesquehoning, was arrested on Sept. 1 by Nesquehoning police along Route 93. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program and follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
