Three people entered guilty pleas on Thursday in Carbon County court to driving under the influence charges and a fourth admitted to driving under suspension β€” DUI related.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II accepted the pleas from the following:

Jody W. Buchman, 38, of Easton, was arrested on Oct. 18, 2016, by state police at Lehighton along Interchange Road (Route 209), in Towamensing Township. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

Sentencing was deferred so Buchman can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Nanovic sentenced her to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole and follow any recommendation of her drug and alcohol evaluation.

She will begin the jail term at 9 a.m. on June 4.
