Carbon County court — DUI
A total of 23 defendants facing driving under the influence and related charges entered guilty pleas on Monday in Carbon County court.
Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted the pleas from the following:
Brandford A. Begel, 57, of Lehighton, was arrested on Feb. 19, 2016, along Bridge Street in Weissport by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
A second offense, he was sentenced to serve 120 days to 60 months in prison, pay a fine of $1,500, license suspended for 18 months and render 100 hours of community service.
The term runs concurrent with a 90-day to six-month term he is currently serving on a DUI imposed earlier by Judge Steven R. Serfass. He is serving the term on consecutive weekends. The new sentence will also be served on weekends beginning March 2 at 9 p.m.
Mark Steven Savacool, 56, of Palmerton, was arrested on June 2, 2016, along Cherryhill Road in Parryville by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.24 BAC.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Carlos Daniel Gonzalez, 21, of Emmaus, was arrested on March 27, 2018, by Palmerton police at Lafayette Avenue. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation. He is currently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison on a parole violation.
Jordan Michael Charles Marsh, 26, of Palmerton, was arrested on Dec. 24, 2017, by state police at Lehighton along Route 443 in Mahoning Township. A test revealed a 0.19 BAC. He also pleaded to two summary motor vehicle code violations.
Sentencing was deferred so he could apply for placement in the county’s Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.
Samantha J. Nedley, 36, of Nesquehoning, was arrested on May 2, 2018, by Nesquehoning police along Catawissa Street. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so she can apply for placement in the IPP.
Lance Michael Weber, 26, of Wyoming, Delaware, was arrested on Jan. 7, 2018, by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 903 in Kidder Township. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.
A first offense, he was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.
Robert C. Stull, 40, of Saylorsburg, was arrested on April 28, 2018, by Kidder Township police along Route 940. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance. He also pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service. On the possession count he was placed on probation for a year, concurrent with the DUI charge.
He will begin the jail term at 9 a.m. on March 4.
Darius S. Clark, 24, of Albrightsville, pleaded to two counts of DUI in two separate cases. He was arrested on April 4, 2015, by Kidder Township police along Route 903. In that case he was previously placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked when he was arrested on the second count on Dec. 27, 2017, along Buckhill Road in Penn Forest Township, by state police at Fern Ridge. In both cases tests revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the IPP.
Heather Lynn Cebrosky, 30, of Palmerton, was arrested on Oct. 27, 2017, by Lehighton police along Second Street. She also pleaded to one count of endangering the welfare of a child. She had a juvenile in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the IPP.
Lorenzo Wallace, 29, of Hazleton, was arrested on Feb. 16, 2018, by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 at Bowmanstown. A test revealed a 0.22 BAC.
He previously pleaded to the charge and was sentenced to serve 48 hours in jail followed by five months and 28 days in the IPP with the first 28 days on electronic monitoring, pay a fine of $750, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He will begin the jail term at 9 a.m. on March 4.
Stephanie Roman, 34, of Freeland, was arrested on Oct. 2, 2017, along Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so she can apply for placement in the IPP.
Rosemary Jean Delarosa, 54, of Albrightsville, was arrested on May 15, 2018, by state police at Fern Ridge along Pope Lane in Albrightsville. She refused a test.
Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the IPP.
Jason Michael Mika, 38, of Weissport, was arrested on April 27, 2015, along Third Avenue in Lehighton by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

Harry Kuhlman Stahl, 45, of Nazareth, was arrested on April 17, 2018, by Nesquehoning police along Railroad Street. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred.
David Hascin, 70, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Oct. 30, 2018, along North Street by Jim Thorpe police. A test revealed a 0.19 BAC.
He was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, license suspended for a year and render 25 hours of community service.
He will begin the jail term at 10 a.m. on March 1.

He was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, pay a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He will begin the jail term at 10 a.m. on March 1.
Randall D. Perry II, 28, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Nov. 5, 2018, along School Street by Jim Thorpe police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so he can apply for placement in the IPP.
Caseem Devante Johnson, 24, of East Stroudsburg, was arrested on March 10, 2018, by Weatherly police along Main Street. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
He was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, pay a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He was given credit for three days already served in prison and paroled.
Stefone Leisure, 33, of Lansford, was arrested on May 21, 2016, along Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. A test revealed a 0.12 BAC. He was previously placed in the ARD program but revoked for violating conditions.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Michael Lower, 42, of Lansford, was arrested on May 18, 2018, along Bertsch Street by Lansford police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

Kevin Elmer Meckes, 66, of Lehighton, was arrested on April 9, 2018, by state police at Lehighton along Forest Inn Road in Towamensing Township. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the IPP.
Randall Scott Snyder, 59, of Weissport, was arrested on March 25, 2018, by state police at Lehighton along Bridge Street in Weissport. A test revealed a 0.20 BAC. He previously pleaded to the charge.

Shukri Yousif Abdulla, 26, of Astoria, New York, was arrested on July 19, 2015, along Route 903 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.10 BAC. He was previously placed in the ARD program but revoked from it for violating conditions.
He was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, pay a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He will begin the jail term at 3 p.m. on March 5.
Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation.
