Carbon County court — Parole/probation revocation hearings
An Albrightsville woman had her parole revoked on a drug charge and was resentenced by the county court recently. Three other defendants had their placements in the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program revoked in other actions by county judges.
Brianna Becker, 31, had her parole revoked on a charge of criminal conspiracy — possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by Lehighton police on June 2, 2017, on new criminal counts, testing positive for amphetamines, failing to report for scheduled urine screens and violating the zero-tolerance condition.
Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced her to serve out the maximum of her sentence, which runs to Jan. 6, 2019, followed by one year probation. She will be allowed to be paroled from the prison to enter Blue Mountain Partial Program in Bowmanstown. A condition of the release to the program is that she must successfully complete the program. If she fails to complete it she must immediately return to the county prison and continue serving her sentence.
ARD revoked
Dennis Repetz, 29, of Tresckow, had his placement in the ARD program revoked on a charge of DUI on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs, failing to complete a safe driving course and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.
Judge Joseph J. Matika ruled the revocation would be effective July 2. However, if Repetz pays his court costs in full, completes the community service and safety classes by that date, the order will be vacated.
Darius Clark, 23, of Albrightsville, had his ARD revoked on charges of DUI and possession of a controlled substance on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs, failing to complete highway safety course and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.
President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II ruled the case will be placed on the next trial list.
Kristine Stenulson, 29, of Nesquehoning, was revoked from the program on a charge of retail theft on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.
Judge Serfass ruled the revocation be effective May 1. However, if Stenulson pays her court costs in full and completes 50 hours of community service by that date the order will be vacated.
