Carbon County court
A Schuylkill County woman pleaded guilty on Friday in Carbon County court to charges of driving under the influence and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was one of 19 defendants in pending DUI-related cases to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.
Lansford incident
Leianni Crawford, 32, of Tamaqua, was arrested on Jan. 16 by Lansford police along Patterson Street. A juvenile was found in the vehicle. She was originally charged with five counts, including three DUI of a controlled substance, endangering count and a summary motor vehicle offense.
A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so Crawford can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Other pleas
Robyn Danielle Carey, 33, of Germansville, Lehigh County, was arrested on Dec. 30, 2018, by state police at Lehighton along Ashtown Drive in Mahoning Township. A test revealed a 0.14 BAC.
He was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail followed by 23 months in the county’s Intermediate Punishment Program with the first 60 days on electronic monitoring, pay a fine of $1,500, license suspended for 18 months and render 100 hours of community service.
She was given credit for 29 days already served and will serve the remaining 24 hours beginning at 10 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Michael Andrew Matsick, 65, of Coopersburg, Lehigh County, was arrested on Feb. 24 by state police at Lehighton along Interchange Road in Franklin Township. A test revealed a 0.12 BAC.
A first offense, he was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.
Raymond Cano Wilder, 51, of Summit Hill, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2018, by state police at Lehighton along Abbott Street in Lansford. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so Wilder can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Martin Q. Stofanak, 58, of Bethlehem, was arrested on March 26, along Second Street by Lehighton police. A test revealed a 0.29 BAC.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Jeffrey Keith Rehrig II, 41, of Lehighton, was arrested on May 15, by Palmerton police along Route 248. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.
He was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, pay a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He will begin the jail term on Oct. 26 at 8 a.m. and serve two days; Nov. 1, two days; and Nov. 8, one day.
Marcos Antonio Perez Jr. 28, of Lansford, was arrested on Feb. 10 along Route 209 by Lansford police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so Perez can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Troy D. Frable, 45, of Palmerton, pleaded in two pending cases. He was arrested on Aug. 26, 2018, by Lehighton police along Route 443 and on Dec. 10, 2018, by Franklin Township police along Bridge Street. In both cases tests revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Patrick Riley Rusden, 22, of Philadelphia, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2018, by Lehighton police along the Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred.
Emily Edith New, 28, of Palmerton, was arrested on May 6 by state police at Lehighton along Edgemont Avenue in Palmerton. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.
She was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, pay a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hour of community service.
She will serve the prison term beginning at 8 a.m. on Oct. 14, two days; and Oct. 21, three days.
Pamela Sue Buchinsky, 49, of Charleston, West Virginia, was arrested on Feb. 20, 2015, along Route 248 by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance. She was previously placed in the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked from it for violating conditions.
Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Anthony Labib Salama, 25, of Long Island, New York, was arrested on Feb. 10, 2016, along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough by state police at Fern Ridge. He refused a test.
Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and apply for placement in the Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.
Joevonnie Rodriguez, 27, of Allentown, was arrested on Nov. 22, 2018, along Fourth Street by Palmerton police. A test revealed a 0.14 BAC.
She was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, pay a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He began the jail term on Friday at noon and will serve three days; then on Oct. 4, at 7 a.m., two days.
Nicholas Mark, 21, of Catasauqua, was arrested on Jan. 1 along Second Street by Lehighton police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
Sentencing was deferred so Mark can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Brandon Atherholt, 36, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Jan. 1, 2017, along Church Street in Lehighton by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
He was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, pay a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
He will begin the jail term at 9 a.m. on Oct. 25.
Bobbi Jo Filer, 46, of Lehighton, was arrested on May 7 by state police at Lehighton along Lehigh Street in Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.
She was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, pay a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service. On a driving under suspension charge she was fined $200.
Following the plea and sentencing, Filer was taken into custody on an active warrant out of Summit Hill.
Amanda Lynn Raub, 37, of Lansford, was arrested on May 25 by state police at Lehighton along Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township. A test revealed a 0.24 BAC.
A first offense, she was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.
Matthew Sean Helmer, 21, of Albrightsville, was arrested on April 30 by state police at Fern Ridge along Meckesville Road in Penn Forest Township. A test revealed a 0.12 BAC.
Sentencing was deferred so he could apply for the IPP.
Inet Nina Torres-Hadnott, 39, of Effort, was arrested on May 25 by Lehighton police along Stedman Avenue. A test revealed a 0.18 BAC.
She was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, pay a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.
She will serve the prison term beginning at 1 p.m. on Oct. 4, two days; Oct. 11, two days; and Oct. 18, one day.
Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation and follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
