The following defendants received sentences in Carbon County court on Thursday from Judge Roger Nanovic:

Michelle Regina Lucas, 51, of Lansford, received a jail sentence of 30 days in jail and two months house arrest for a driving under the influence charge from 2017. Lucas was also sentenced to 58 months supervision, a $1,500 fine, and 18 months driving suspension.

In a separate case, Lucas received one year of probation for making an unsworn falsification to authorities.

She was charged by Mahoning Township Police for a Feb. 25 incident. She was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and serve 100 hours community service.

Jayne A. Kubichko, 56, of Summit Hill, was sentenced to six months probation for driving under the influence. She was arrested by Nesquehoning Police on Jan. 14, 2016.

Christopher M. Schaeffer, 46, of Palmerton, received a 4-18 month jail sentence for one count of simple assault by physical menace. He was arrested by Palmerton Police on March 28, 2018. He was also sentenced to 2-12 months for possession of drug paraphernalia.
