Carbon driver in Lehigh crash

A Carbon County driver was involved in a three-vehicle crash at 5:46 p.m. on June 11 along Route 222 in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Maria R. Depuy, 86, of Lansford, Sirena M. Reyes, 26, of Allentown, and Thalesseril J. Commen, 58, of Allentown, were all westbound and approaching a traffic light at Route 100. Reyes and Commen were stopped for the light when the front of Depuy’s 2015 Lexus ES350 hit the rear of Reyes’s 2009 Pontiac G6 pushing it into the rear of Commen’s 2015 Infiniti QX60.

Reyes was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, by Cetronia ambulance. Depuy and Commen were not injured.

Troopers cited Depuy for driving at a unsafe speed.
