Carbon man is accused of fraud

A Carbon County man has been accused of fraud and related counts.

State police at Fogelsville charge that Joshua John Albani, 38, of Jim Thorpe, signed an agreement with a 51-year-old man from Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, to build an extension to his home. Albani then received a payment of $10,510 but did not start work and ended communication with the victim. The incident occurred on May 19, 2017.

Troopers said there was a prior civil case in which a judgment was awarded to the victim.
