Carbon man admits assaulting family members; DUI charge
A Carbon County man admitted on Monday in the county court to assaulting two family members and also driving under the influence in separate incidents.
Moises Flores Jr., 24, of Nesquehoning, pleaded to two counts of simple assault for an incident on Sept. 27, 2017, at his residence along Willow Lane.
Borough police responded to the residence to a reported assault in progress. On scene officers determined that Flores, who was reportedly intoxicated, assaulted two family members. He was originally charged with eight criminal offenses but had six dropped in a plea bargain.
The DUI arrest occurred on Sept. 4, 2017, along Willow Lane. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.
Judge Joseph J. Matika deferred sentencing because Flores must obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation for the DUI charge.
