Carbon man sentenced in seven cases
A Carbon County man was sentenced on Tuesday in seven criminal cases in which he previously entered guilty pleas.
Christopher Allen Dutko, 30, of Palmerton, was sentenced on one count each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — heroin and receiving stolen property, two counts of criminal trespass and five counts of theft.
He was sentenced to time-served, 234 days, to one day less 24 months by Judge Steven R. Serfass, which will be followed by two years of probation.
Dutko was charged for various incidents that occurred in Palmerton in which he admitted stealing various tools, electronics, cellphones and copper piping.
State police at Lehighton charged him in another incident from taking aluminum from a former employer valued at more than $15,000 and selling at a scrap metal site for $10,000.
The Palmerton incidents all occurred in March 2016, while the state police arrest occurred in May 2015.
Dutko was also ordered to make total restitution of $9,142, render a total of 200 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole and probation.
