Carbon personnel

Carbon County officials reappointed four people to serve on two commissions during Thursday’s weekly meeting.

Ronald Blisard of Nesquehoning, Virginia (Ginny) Compton of Lake Harmony and Rodger P. Danielson of Palmerton were approved to again serve on the Carbon County Planning Commission for four-year terms, expiring Dec. 31, 2021.

Kevin Zurawa of Jim Thorpe was also reappointed to a five-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission, expiring Dec. 31, 2022.

In other matters, commissioners approved the following personnel items:

• Retirement: Jacqueline A. Nalesnik of Lansford, part-time cleaning person, buildings and grounds, effective Nov. 30.

• Resignation: William. J. McDonald of Jim Thorpe, part-time dispatcher trainee, communications center, effective Oct. 19.

• Employment separation: Kodie R. Pituch of Jim Thorpe, part-time dispatcher, communications center, effective Nov. 9.

• Changes of status: Ida J. Steele of Summit Hill, from secretary III to administrative assistant/parking coordinator, commissioners’ office, effective Dec. 4; and Tara A. Skrimcovsky of Jim Thorpe, from county caseworker I to county caseworker II, Children and Youth Services, effective retroactively to Sept. 26.

• Hire: Samantha M. Yurchak of Nesquehoning, part-time cleaning person, buildings and grounds, effective Nov. 13.
