Carbon Salary Board

Carbon County’s salary board on Thursday adjusted the wages of several employees.

• The chief deputy coroner’s annual salary was increased to $10,000 from $7,000.

• A third assistant district attorney’s annual salary was increased to $36,050 from $35,000.

• The position of department clerk III was created in the treasurer’s office and the wage set at $11.60 an hour.

• The $11.49 an hour position of part-time fiscal assistant in the treasurer’s office was eliminated.

• The wage for a part-time security officer position in the sheriff’s office was increased to $13.18 an hour from $11.05 an hour.

• The wage for an aging care manager II in the Area Agency on Aging was decreased to $14.81 an hour from $15.25 an hour.

The wage for a part-time senior center operator was decreased to $11.05 an hour from $11.72 an hour.

• The annual salary of the operations/maintenance director of buildings and grounds was increased from $50,000 to $53,747.20, with Controller Robert Crampsie opposed.

• The wage of a part-time parking attendant for the commissioners’ office was increased to $10.32 an hour from $10.02 an hour.

• The salary of a solicitor in the tax assessment office was increased to $5,150 from $5,000.

• The annual salary of a solicitor in the tax collection office was increased to $10,300 from $10,000.
