Carbon woman victim of theft

A Carbon County woman is the victim of theft in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said a 47-year-old woman from Lehighton had her purse stolen from her 2004 Ford Explorer sometime between 1 p.m. and 4:49 p.m. on Wednesday while parked at a location in Ryan Township.

Troopers said the passenger side front window on the vehicle was smashed to gain entry.

The purse was described as being a brown leather Coach purse.
