Caring for caregivers

Published February 25. 2020 12:52PM

Are you caring for a loved one living with memory impairment? Join Heritage Hill Senior Community for “Caring for the Caregiver,” a monthly series featuring insightful topics to help family caregivers along their caregiving journey.

This month’s series is March 10, at 2 p.m. and focuses on positive communication strategies.

As your loved one progresses through the stages of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, holding conversations become increasingly difficult. It’ll be up to you to create a connection.

Denise Langman, executive director at Heritage Hill, presents “Tools for Success: Positive Communication.” She’ll share the best ways to communicate with your loved one when words fail.

Series are free and open to the public. Bring your loved one for a special supervised activity with the Heritage Hill care team. Light refreshments provided.

RSVP by March 4; call Rachael at 570-427-4500. Heritage Hill Senior Community is located at 800 6th St., Weatherly.
