Chamber to honor businesses at gala
The Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation will honor businesses and business professionals in Carbon County for their dedication and service to our community on Nov. 22 at the annual dinner at Blue Mountain Resort.
The Hawaiian Luau Gala will focus on the great things happening in Carbon County and will feature the presentation of awards to Carbon County businesses, initiatives and individuals who have made a significant difference in our communities.
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a happy hour, auction and networking reception. The dinner and program will begin at 6:30 p.m. The evening will also feature an overview of the CCEDC’s accomplishments and highlights from the past year.
The awards will be presented to:
• Business of the Year — Joey B’s Bar & Restaurant, Palmerton
• Rookie Business of the Year — Jenny’s Sweets & More, Lehighton
• Tourism and Entertainment Venue of the Year — No. 9 Coal Mine & Museum, Lansford
• Volunteer & Community Impact Project of the Year — Shelly Lutz, (Split Rock Golf Club annual Let’s Save
• The Dogs Golf Tournament for NEPA Pet Fund & Rescue, Carbon County Animal Shelter & Red Rock Rescue Inc. NE PA)
• Young Professional of the Year Award — Jessica Adamczyk, Heritage Hill Senior Community
• Economic Development Project — D&L National Heritage Corridor, Carbon County & Jim Thorpe Borough
• William H. Bayer Lifetime Achievement Award — Jim Wimmer, Palmerton
• Ambassador Award — Dorrie Merluzzi
