The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce announces the following events:

• Tonight, Walnutport will be have its first tree lighting event with over 50 trees decorated by residents, organizations and businesses.

• On Sunday, return to Charlotte Fay’s Main Street Diner for a Sip & Paint event from 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are available by calling Alice at 484-274-2080.

• Nominations are being accepted the annual Spirit Award through Dec. 31.

The award is presented to an individual whose efforts have made the community a great place to live and work. Nominations can be submitted online at greaternorthernlehigh.com.

Carbon County Chamber and Economic Development:

• Join the Carbon Chamber from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 6 for Conjured Soap Boutique’s Wickedly Wonderful Holiday Open House.

• Tamaqua’s Spirit of Christmas Festival wraps up Sunday with a matinee performance of The Nutcracker at 3 p.m. and the lighting of the Community Christmas tree at 6 p.m. in Depot Square Park.
