Changes made to Schuylkill League playoffs

Changes have been made to the Schuylkill League basketball playoff schedules.

Due to schools being called off Wednesday, the boys semifinals have been postponed and moved to Friday.

The girls semifinals will still be played on Thursday.

The finals, however, will now be played on Saturday. The girls championship game will start at 5 p.m. with the boys title contest at 7 p.m. All playoff games will still be held at Martz Hall in Pottsville.

GIRLS SEMIFINALS

Thursday, Feb. 14

Tamaqua (wild card) vs. Mahanoy Area (Division 3 champ), 6 p.m.

Jim Thorpe (Division 1 champ) vs. Lourdes (Division 2 champ), 7:30 p.m.

BOYS SEMIFINALS

Friday, Feb. 15

Blue Mountain (wild card) vs. Lourdes (Division 2 champ), 6 p.m.

Pottsville (Division 1 champ) vs. Mahanoy Area (Division 3 champ), 7:30 p.m.

FINALS

Saturday, Feb. 16

Girls championship game, 5 p.m.

Boys championship game, 7 p.m.
