Child abuse reports investigated in Polk

State police at Lehighton said they are investigating two incidents of reported child abuse.

Troopers said the first incident involved a 4-year-old girl from Palmerton allegedly being abused at a residence along Burger Hollow Road in Polk Township, Monroe County. The alleged abuse occurred between Jan. 1 and May 20, troopers said.

The second abuse report involved two girls, ages 12 and 13, from Flemington, New Jersey. The alleged abuse occurred at a residence along Twin Lake Drive also in Polk Township, between Jan. 1 and June 6.
