• St. Mark’s and St. John’s Episcopal Church, 21 Race St.: Christmas Eve, 4 p.m. vigil service, 7 p.m. prayer service. Christmas, 8 a.m. morning prayer.

• Blue Mountain Community Church: Christmas Eve at Penn’s Peak, 6 p.m., doors open at 4:30. All welcome, free admission.

Lansford

• Trinity Lutheran Church: The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Holy Communion will be held at 8 p.m. The Rev. Roy H. Koehler will be preside. All are welcome.

Lehighton

• Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., 7 p.m. Tuesday.

• Christ Evangelical Free Church, Christmas Eve candlelight services, 6 p.m.

• St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Christmas Eve worship services, 4 and 7 p.m., both with Holy Communion.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Christmas Eve worship with Holy Communion, 6 p.m. family worship with music by the Trinity Praise Band; 9 p.m. traditional worship with candlelight.

Nesquehoning

• Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church: 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, will hold Christmas Eve services. At 2 p.m. a family service will be held; and at 8 and 11 p.m. candlelight services will be held.

Palmerton

• St. John’s Episcopal: 365 Lafayette Ave., 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve, carol singing; 6 p.m. Holy Eucharist and candlelight service.

• St. John’s Lutheran: 2915 Fireline Road, Christmas Eve Family Service begins at 7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service begins at 10:30 p.m. Both services will feature Holy Communion and will conclude with candle lighting.

• Living Hope Lighthouse Church: 7 p.m. Christmas Eve, candlelight service, 705 Third St.

• Faith Alive Church: 678 Pine St. Christmas Eve Services, 5 p.m. traditional candlelight; 7 p.m. contemporary candlelight.

• Bethany Wesleyan Church: 457 Delaware Ave., Christmas Eve candlelight service at 4 p.m.

• Holy Trinity Lutheran: 502 Lafayette Ave., on Christmas Eve a Communion Service will be held at 10 p.m.

• Jerusalem UCC: 545 Church Drive, Trachsville. Come on Christmas Eve at 4 p.m. for a Rockin’ Contemporary Christmas Eve Service highlighting the God’s House Band, reading by adults and children and a play, “The Good Old Days.” Congregational carol singing and candlelighting included. A traditional candlelight service will be at 7 p.m. with joyful music, carols and candlelight.

Summit Hill

• St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley: 462 W. Ludlow St., 4 p.m. Christmas Eve (children’s Mass); 4:15 p.m. in the social hall; 6 and 10 p.m.; 10 a.m. on Christmas Day.

Tamaqua area

• Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church: Traditional Christmas Eve service at 3 p.m., contemporary Christmas Eve service at 7 and 11 p.m.

• St. John Lutheran: Christmas Eve service will be held at 4 and 7 p.m.

• Primitive Methodist: There will be a Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Zion Lewistown: A candlelight Christmas Eve service will be held at 4 p.m. and will include communion.

• Zion Stone Church: On Christmas Eve, there will be services at 7 and 10:30 p.m.

West End

• Effort UMC will have three Christmas Eve services. The first service at 6 p.m. is a Family Service of Celebration, the children provide a re-enactment of the Christmas Story. The second service at 8 p.m. is a service with the church choir, primarily music. The last service, at 11 p.m., is a service of lessons and carols. Scripture lessons are read with hymns being sung. All the services are candlelight services.

• Kresgeville: Cornerstone Community Church, at the corner of HTY and Polk Township roads, will have candlelight services at 5 and 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. An offering will be taken to benefit the Garden of Giving.

• McMichaels UMC will have services at 3 and 7 p.m. Christmas Eve.

• Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Gilbert, will have Mass at 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and a Midnight Mass at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. There will also be a Christmas Mass at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day.

• Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 138 Trach Road, Kresgeville, will have services with carols, Holy Communion and candlelighting at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

• Salem UCC, Gilbert, will hold its Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m.

• St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, will have an early Christmas Eve service with Communion at 3 p.m.; a Country Christmas Eve service with Communion at 7 p.m. and a traditional Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols service with Communion at 10 p.m.

• St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, will have a family oriented service, with special music, at 7 p.m. The Rev. Edward Bean will present his message: Bought at Great Price.

• Zion Lutheran, Brodheadsville, will have a candlelight worship service with Holy Communion at 3:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. On Christmas Day the church is hosting a free community dinner from 1 to 3 p.m.
