Christopher named LCCC Cougar Athlete of the Week

For the second time this season, Sage Christopher was named the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougar Athlete of the Week.

The Northwestern graduate scored 23 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and had six steals against Delaware County Community College on Dec. 3 for her fifth double-double of the season.

Christopher, who was also named Cougar Athlete of the Week for the time of Nov.18-24, is currently averaging 22.4 points per game (10th in NJCAA) and 17.2 rebounds per contest (third in NJCAA). The freshman is also averaging 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game.

Jim Thorpe graduate Devon Lignore had 14 points and 13 rebounds against DCCC. The freshman is second only to Christopher with 12.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

The Cougars are currently 2-3 overall, and return to action Dec. 12 when they travel to Valley Forge.
