Community Night in Monroe County
The 2018 Community Night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Monroe Campus of Northampton Community College, Pocono Hall, Tannersville.
Community Night, hosted by the Monroe County Children’s Roundtable, is free and open to all.
The event aims to connect people to services, volunteers with programs and bring together the Monroe County community. The event also provides information and resources on a variety of topics, including substance abuse, mental health, nutrition, child welfare, law enforcement, the local court, schools and school districts.
Children can explore and learn about the environment and animals at the Pocono Wildlife, Monroe County Conservation District, and Pennsylvania Game Commission hands-on displays.
Parents can also see the Teen Bedroom where drug and alcohol experts walk parents through the many ways teens can hide drugs or alcohol in items commonly found in their bedroom and easily overlooked by concerned parents.
