Connecting the trail

  • Empty

Work continues on the connection on the east side of the Lehigh River linking the Delaware & Lehigh trail to the pedestrian bridge in Jim Thorpe. The connector will lead the bridge, which was finished in June 2018, to the towpath heading into Weissport. “They started that work about a month ago, obviously the rain has not helped. We expect it to be completed this summer. We’re on target,” said Elissa Garofalo, executive director of the D&L. BOB FORD/TIMES NEWS
