Crash closes I-81

The southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County were closed Thursday morning due to a serious crash.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene near 6 a.m. of a reported Jeep under a tractor trailer at the 104.9 mile marker.

Rescue crews took several hours to free the trapped occupants.

Interstate 81 was closed at the Tremont exit.

What's with the Mansfield bar design under the back of these tractor trailers....2nd one in two months locally where a vehicle has gone under.
