Crash closes Route 54 in Rush Township

At least one person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash along Route 54 in Rush township.

The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. about a mile west of the intersection with Marian Avenue. The crash involved a car and a sport utility vehicle with both coming to rest in the east bound lane.

Members of the Ryan Township ambulance were treating the injured.

Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, closing down the roadway. Rush township police are investigating the incident.
