Crews respond to fire in Penn Forest

A quick response by area firefighters saved a home this morning in Penn Forest Township. The fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. at 105 Valley View Drive with flames and smoke showing from the chimney. Fire companies from Franklin, Towamensing and Polk townships along with Lehighton responded. Fire crews were able to knock down the flames saving the structure.
