Crews on scene of Banks garage fire
Fire companies from Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne counties were on the scene of a large garage fire in Banks Township Thursday evening. The fire was reported as a worker about 7:15 p.m. at 61 East Market St. in Treskow. When firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy flames throughout the masonry structure. Firefighters had to use saws to cut through the metal doors to gain access to the flames. No injuries were reported in the incident. A tanker tank force supplied water to the scene.
