Culinary crew makes cod fish cakes
The Culinary Crew at Zion Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, including, from left, Gail Jones, Paul Fegley and Mary Ruth Taylor, was busy last week, preparing more than 700 codfish cakes for the annual Lenten sale. The crew also made its famous pepper cabbage for the fundraiser. The Lenten cod fish cake sale has been a coal region staple for generations.
