Northwestern graduate Trista Cunningham was recently named the Landmark Conference Female Field Athlete of the Year after her performance at the 2018 Outdoor Championships.

The senior at Moravian College captured the discus for the third straight year at the meet, held at Elizabethtown College recently. Cunningham won the event with a throw of 41.37 meters (135-9), which set a new meet record. She also took first in the shot put with a distance of 12.08 meters (39-7 3/4) and threw the hammer 43.78 meters (143-8) to finish in second place.

Her efforts helped the Greyhounds claim their 11th consecutive outdoor title.

The former Tiger standout also played basketball for Moravian during the winter season, starting all 26 games and averaging 6.8 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per contest.
