Damages are minor in Towamensing crash

Two vehicles were damaged in a parking lot mishap at 2:13 p.m. June 27 at Lakeside Tire and Auto, Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said a 2012 Ford F550 driven by Scott R. Griffith, 53, of Lehighton, was backing from a westbound-facing parked position in the lot when its rear bumper hit the front left bumper of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse that was parked there. The car is owned by Kyle D. Balliet, 35, of Palmerton.

Police said no one was injured in the incident.
