December 24, 2009 — Northern Lehigh’s Channing Shiffert is named the Times News Boys Soccer Player of the Year. The sophomore earns the award after setting school records in both goals scored (21) and total points (55). Shiffert, who also had a four-goal game in a 4-3 win against Wilson, had already earned a First Team All-Colonial League selection and helped the Bulldogs, coached by John Sitaras, to the most wins in school history.
