December 5, 1972 — Tony Sodroski and Mark Trusa both turn in quality all-around efforts to lift Panther Valley to a 64-60 North Schuylkill League victory over Pine Grove. Sodroski tallies 12 points, pulls down 15 rebounds and comes up with eight steals, while Trusa delivers 15 points, eight boards and five steals. The Panthers, coached by “Pip” Rader, receivers a game-high 17 points from Pat McLaughlin. A basket from Trusa and a three-point play by McLaughlin breaks a late tie and gives PV the lead for good. Jim Trusa also chips in with 10 points.
