February 12, 1965 — Jim Thorpe reaches 100 points for the third game in a row by cruising to a 109-63 Anthracite League victory over Freeland. Bobby Brown connects on 13-of-15 shots from the floor and finishes with a game-high 29 points for the Olympians, coached by Tony Romano. Brown hits for 16 of his points in the opening quarter to help his team build a 31-15 lead. Keith Miller connects for 23 points in the contest, while Jack Kmetz tallies 13. The winners also receive 10 points from Joe Morgan and nine from Billy Maehrer.
