January 8, 2007 — Tamaqua’s Erika Barron reaches the 2,000-point plateau by scoring a game-high 22 during a 70-31 Schuylkill League victory over Jim Thorpe. Barron hits the milestone with a jumper from the right wing early in the second quarter. She then tallies 10 points in the third quarter to help the Blue Raiders, coached by Joe Berezwick, extend a nine-point halftime lead. The winners also receive a double-double from Casey Wagner, who scores 13 points and collects 10 rebounds. Kristin Kistler chips in with eight points and eight boards.
