Fran Boyle starts the rally with a single to right before Gerry Watto follows with another hit to right. Forte lines a shot in the shortstop hole to plate Boyle. Dave Reed pitches all nine frames for the Blue Raiders, coached by Durbin Wagner, walking three while striking out seven. Reed also helps his cause with three hits and an RBI on offense, while Forte finishing with a pair of hits.
