November 28, 1935 — Slatington not only loses its Thanksgiving Day classic against rival Palmerton, but also loses its clothes. The Lehigh County school crosses the river for its contest in Carbon County and manages just a safety in dropping a 13-2 decision to the Blue Bombers. After the game, the team returns to their school to find that their locker room was robbed. Clothes, gold watches, class rings and pins were all taken. The thieves were believed to gain entrance to the premises by way of an ash door in the boiler room.
