October 10, 1970 — Jim Thorpe’s Dave Mueller throws for 199 yards and two touchdowns, while Mike Gerber runs for a pair of scores in a 42-0 victory over Cardinal Brennan. Mueller tosses a 60-yard TD pass to Pat Crowley and also hits August Long with a 32-yard scoring strike. Gerber, who carries six times for 115 yards, reaches the end zone on runs of 29 and 68 yards. The Olympians, coached by Angie Konstas, also receives 102 yards rushing from Crowley, and a 17-yard TD run from Mueller.
