October 17, 2008 — Northern Lehigh’s Matt Gill scores from three yards out in the second overtime to lift the Bulldogs to a 27-24 victory over rival Northwestern. Gill finishes the contest with 15 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He opens the game’s scoring with a 17-yard TD run. The Tigers force OT when Mike Oswald crosses the goal line from a yard out with 1:22 left in regulation. Nolehi’s Kris Krawchuk, who had a 30-yard scoring run earlier in the game, starts the first overtime with a touchdown run before NW’s Billy Dayton scores to force a second OT. The Tigers’ Kyle Creyer boots a field goal, but Gill ends the game with his 3-yard tally.
