October 18, 1985 — Kyle Hough, making his first varsity start of the season, throws two touchdown passes and runs for another score to help Lehighton earn a 27-6 Centennial League victory over Northern Lehigh. The Indians, coached by Dave Parsons, gain an early lead when Rob Hinkle’s 23-yard punt return sets up Rich Bloom’s 3-yard TD run. Hough connects with Brian Scherer for a 30-yard scoring toss to extend the lead before Hough reaches the goal line from two yards out. The Lehighton QB gets his team on the board again when he and Clayton “Skimmer” Andrews hook up for a 38-yard touchdown pass.
