October 31, 1980 — Scott Barry’s 26-yard field goal with 40 seconds left in the third quarter are the only points scored as Lehighton edges Slatington, 3-0, in a Centennial League contest. Dennis Hartranft carries 25 times for 100 yards and passes 1,000 for the season, while Brian Bollinger picks up 96 yards on 22 attempts. The two account for 44 yards during a march that stalls at the Bulldog 15-yard-line, but sets up Barry’s kick. The Indians, coached by Jim Wentz, receive an interception from Barry Fisher late in the first half that stops a potential Northern Lehigh scoring drive.
