October 4, 1968 — Slatington takes advantage of a muffed snap on a Lehighton punt attempt to score the game’s only touchdown in a 6-0 Lehigh Valley League victory. Locked in a scoreless tie early in the fourth quarter, the Indians hand the ball over on their 11-yard line after the miscue. Duke Lilly picks up six yards on two carries, before Gary Van Norman runs for a first down. Van Norman eventually crashes over from a yard out for the score. The Bulldogs, coached by Jack Cassebaum, thwart a pair of Lehighton drives on interceptions by Lilly and Ron Kuntz.
