October 4, 1980 — Dale Beck carries 21 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns to help Slatington register a 35-14 victory over Southern Lehigh. Beck opens the scoring with a 6-yard TD run, and gives the Bulldogs the lead for good with a 14-yard scoring scamper in the second quarter. The winners, coached by Dick Snell, receive a pair of TD passes from Randy Phillips — a 52-yard scoring toss to Craig Scheffler and a 24-yarder to John Bolton. Butch Rauch also adds a 1-yard scoring plunge.
