October 5, 1957 — Ed Kocha runs for two touchdowns and throws for another to lead Nesquehoning to a 33-6 victory over Jim Thorpe. Kocha reaches the end zone on runs of 4 and 25 yards, and also tosses a 30-yard scoring strike to Kulick. Ron Kinek contributes a pair of scores, adding an 8-yard tally and escaping for a 70-yard scamper. The Warriors, coached by Tony Mezza, also receive key interceptions from Kinek, Kocha, and Bill Santore.
