Deer struck in Schuylkill, then hits second car
A deer that entered the path of a vehicle on Route 443 in North Manheim Township was struck by the car, bounced off it and then hit a second vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the incident happened at 8:26 a.m. Dec. 15, just west of Market Street. Police said the deer came off an embankment and entered the path of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra that was westbound at the time. The deer then flew into the westbound lane striking the left side of a 2016 Buick Regal that was westbound.
There were no injuries. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
