Dietz advances to state Elks hoop shoot championship

Lehighton’s Cole Dietz, right, who was representing the Tamaqua Elks Lodge, won the 10-11 year-old boys Elks Hoop Shoot Northeast District Championship recently in Bangor. Dietz made 20-of-25 free throws, advancing him to the state championship, which will be held in State College.
